Five one-month-old Siberian tigersand three even younger white lion cubs in a zoo of Qinyang, central China's Henan Province, are preparing for their public debut during the upcoming National Day holiday, which starts from October 1.
Covered in brown fur with dark stripes, the five baby Siberian tigers are playful and have begun exhibiting natural instincts – especially when it comes to mealtime.
"The tiger cubs are all quite healthy. They are fed with customized milk and meat almost every two hours. When they were born, they were only 800g each. But now, each of them weighs around 2 kilograms," said Feng Xuening, a breeder.
Meanwhile, three young white lions – a rare mutation of the African lion – are soon to be one month old. They have been learning to walk in the zoo's nursery.
Abandoned by their mother, they are now being raised by zookeepers. Apart from the dark tips of their tails, these adorable cubs are entirely white.
Both sets of cubs are all in good health and will meet the public during the National Day holiday.
