China's advanced tourist train with upgraded amenities to launch in April

A tourist train rolled off the production line at CRRC Sifang Co in Qingdao, Shandong province on Thursday. Jointly developed by China Railway Zhengzhou Group and CRRC Sifang, it is set to begin operations in mid-April.

Designed for comfort and accessibility, the train features upgraded amenities, including optimized cabins and senior-friendly facilities.

It has 14 soft-sleeper cars with double, triple and quadruple compartments, a dining car, a multifunctional car and a service car. Each private compartment has a separate bathroom, thermostatic toilet, anti-pinch door handles and SOS emergency call buttons.

The multifunctional car offers a lounge, tearoom, and entertainment space, with services such as karaoke, board games, and tea tasting.
