A plane carrying at least 18 people crashed in a peripheral area of Goma City, North Kivu province in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo), sources told Xinhua on Sunday.
There had been deaths, according to the sources. The official number of fatalities was not yet available.
The plane, operated by the local company Busy Bee, crashed after its takeoff, according to media reports.
