Seven out of the 23 victims in the deadly blasts in the city of Zhangjiakou, north China's Hebei Province, have been identified and confirmed by DNA tests, the city's information office said Thursday.

A total of 23 people were confirmed dead and another 22 were injured after blasts occurred near a chemical plant in Zhangjiakou on Wednesday.

The identification of the other victims and further investigation are underway.
