The CIIE mini program offers bilingual information
Two WeChat mini programs about the China International Import Expo (CIIE) were launched Wednesday.
One of the programs gives visitors guidance and introduces the expo, and the other is a game called “Panda Jinbao” — both are designed to help people better understand the event.
The CIIE mini program offers two features: “CIIE” and “Shanghai.” Both have an English version.
“CIIE” gives a brief introduction about the expo, attending countries and organizations, as well as calendars and news about the event.
“Shanghai,” on the other hand, provides travel plans in the city relating to gourmet food, accommodation, public transport, entertainment, shopping, and sightseeing spots.
The other mini program, “Panda Jinbo,” lets users role play as Jinbao, the mascot of the CIIE. In the game, users can collect bamboo which can later be used to trade goods in a virtual CIIE.
Users can learn about the culture and folk customs of all countries attending the expo. They can also exchange goods with WeChat friends and collect more in the game.
