Three executives of China Publishing Group Corp (CPGC) have received serious warnings for violating Party discipline, said the discipline inspection agency Friday.
Wang Junguo, the company's vice president, and Luo Zhengyun, general manager of the textbook section, received serious warnings for spending public money on private overseas trips, said a statement from the Communist Party of China's (CPC) Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI).
Zhang Yueming, general manager of the World Publishing Corporation's Beijing branch, was held responsible and also received a serious warning.
The three have been under investigation since March.
The CPC Constitution regulates five punishment measures for discipline violations, which are warning, serious warning, removal from Party posts, probation within the Party and expulsion from the Party.
The CPGC runs 40 publishing houses in China, is one of China's largest publishing groups and publishes more than 10,000 books, videos and electronic publications as well as more than 50 newspapers and magazines annually, according to its website.
The World Publishing Corporation, an affiliate of CPGC founded in 1986, is a leading Chinese publisher of foreign publications.
