The State Council Information Office (SCIO) is holding a press conference on Friday on the just-ended fourth plenary session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
The session concluded in Beijing on Thursday with the release of a communique.
The fourth plenary session was held at a critical period of realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, Wang Xiaohui, executive deputy head of the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the CPC, said at the press conference.
The session reviewed and adopted the CPC Central Committee's decision on major issues concerning how to uphold and improve the system of socialism with Chinese characteristics and advance the modernization of China's system and capacity for governance, Wang added.
The communique noted that China's state and governance systems enjoy notable strengths in 13 aspects, said Jiang Jinquan, deputy director of Policy Research Office of the CPC Central Committee.
All these notable strengths are the fundamental basis for fostering stronger confidence in the path, theory, system and culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
