Five outstanding social responsibility practice achievements of State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power showcased at the '2025 Eco-Forum Global Guiyang'

As the only national and international forum approved by the State Council of China with ecological civilization as its theme, the Eco-Forum Global Guiyang serves as an important platform to showcase China's achievements in green development. The outstanding performance of State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power Co Ltd at this forum is a concentrated demonstration of its in-depth practice of the concept of green development and the achievements in fulfilling the social responsibilities of central enterprises.

This award marks the innovative demonstration value created by State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power Co Ltd in the five core ESG fields through systematic strategic layout and in-depth practice of the green development concept. It has formed promotable and replicable annual outstanding practical achievements by focusing on industrial green upgrading, building a smart city ecology, activating the small and micro carbon emission reduction market, serving the green development of the "Belt and Road Initiative", and assisting rural revitalization.

In recent years, State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power Co Ltd has enhanced the timeliness, effectiveness and influence of brand communication and promotion through various forms such as information disclosure, visits and communications, and special actions. It has released social responsibility reports for 14 consecutive years to respond to social concerns. Practicing the State Grid Corporation's concept of social responsibility of "developing the company, serving the society, putting people first, and achieving common development," it has actively explored and improved the mechanism for enterprises to fulfill social responsibilities, forming a social responsibility management path for provincial power grid enterprises characterized by "value leadership, communication-driven two-way integration, and comprehensive service".

It has promoted the integration of social responsibility into business processes and functional management, implemented more than 300 social responsibility rooting projects, and formed several outstanding achievements with demonstration effects that can be learned from, promoted and disseminated, which have been included in the MBA teaching case database of Peking University and the biodiversity protection case collection of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment.

Employee Tong Chong was elected as the "2022 UN Global Pioneer for Sustainable Development Goals." The practical achievements of the "Migratory Bird Lifeline" public welfare project have been showcased at the Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity for three consecutive years. During COP29, it released the only sustainable development case collection in the State Grid Corporation system; employee He Guanghua delivered a keynote speech on "Women's Power in Sustainable Development"; and eight innovative practices and typical cases of sustainable development, such as vehicle-grid integration and island microgrids, were released.

During the forum, as the only invited representative from the State Grid Corporation system, State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power Co Ltd participated in the roundtable discussion of the thematic forum "Multi-Stakeholder Collaboration to Promote ESG Innovative Practices and Green Development," and shared the company's experience and achievements in advancing ESG governance and green development.
