(ECNS) -- Chinese authorities have confirmed the discovery of a significant gold mineralized zone in Yumen City, Gansu Province, containing more than 40 metric tons of gold resources, which is enough to support two large-scale mines.
The deposit, located in the Beishan region, spans roughly 14 kilometers in length and varies in width from 10 to 100 meters, according to the Gansu Provincial Department of Natural Resources.
The find follows an extensive exploration project launched in 2017, which mobilized a team of experts, carrying out a total of 30,000 cubic meters of trenching and over 35,000 meters of drilling.
