(ECNS) -- China's exports of industrial robots rose 54.9% in the first nine months of 2025, the General Administration of Customs (GAC) said Monday.
Despite complex global conditions, China's goods trade has maintained steady growth and strong resilience this year, said Wang Jun, vice head of the GAC, at a briefing held by the State Council Information Office.
According to the official, China's foreign trade has shown "confidence, vitality, and determination."
Confidence stems from a stable trade foundation, Wang said. Exports and imports both grew year-on-year for four consecutive months, with major trading provinces such as Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai, and Shandong contributing over 80% of national trade growth.
Vitality comes from emerging growth drivers. Alongside robust robot exports, wind power equipment exports rose 23.9%, and traditional handicrafts such as dragon boats and wood carvings gained global popularity after being infused with modern design elements.
Determination is seen in the surge of active market players. Over 700,000 enterprises engaged in import and export activities during the first three quarters, exceeding last year's total. Business confidence among exporters and importers has risen steadily for several months.
Wang noted that, although global economic uncertainty and protectionist tendencies continue to pose challenges, China's solid economic fundamentals, vast market, and complete industrial system will continue to support stable growth in foreign trade.
