(ECNS) -- "Chicken steak brother" in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province has opened his food studio, with business covering catering management and food sales, after going popular on the internet.
On Wednesday, the chicken steak vendor, whose real name is Li Junyong, extended his thanks and an apology to his customers via a video released on Douyin, citing consumers' long waits in the hot weather.
After a period of intense work, Li said he will close for a day on Thursday to rest and resume with better service. He also reminded people who traveled a long way to buy his chicken steak to stay safe.
As seen in videos posted by netizens, Li's stall is now equipped with a dedicated air conditioner, powered by a portable generator.
Li, a 48-year-old native of Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, has been operating a street food stall near a junior high school for years, selling fried chicken cutlets.
His humorous interactions with tourists, such as "You can refuse me, but not my chicken steak" and "You deserve everything beautiful in the world, including my chicken steak", turned Jingdezhen, a city renowned for its ceramic and porcelain products, into a trending destination over the just-finished Mid-Autumn and National Day holiday.
