(ECNS) -- During the two sessions, rural revitalization has been in the spotlight. Many deputies suggest that efforts should be made to vigorously develop rural industries and cultivate talents in the "agriculture, rural, and farming" sectors.
Chu Jun, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) said "to promote the high-quality development industries in the process of rural revitalization, it is urgently necessary to comprehensively enhance the high-quality industrial development, industry characteristics, and their demonstration effect."
Accordingly, Chu suggests the establishment of several national rural revitalization industrial demonstration zones, with at least one or two in each province to drive rural revitalization.
Meanwhile, National People's Congress(NPC) deputy Tan Xinping proposed to increase policy support for the rural e-commerce industry, providing good platforms and technologies for more farmers at home. He encourages them to engage in live streaming and become internet celebrities.
"In this way, more well-educated young people will be willing return to their hometowns and start their own businesses, driving more farmers to participate, enhancing the competitiveness of rural industrial development, said Tan Xinping.
Besides, CPPCC member Zhang Yuqing pointed out that talents are key to revitalize rural areas.
Zhang said that education and training for rural revitalization requires coordination and cooperation among government, education, human resources and social security, agriculture and rural areas, and finance departments.
