Enjoying paintings at home offers a good way to pass time during the epidemic while cultivating a taste for art.

Artist Wang Yifeng's renowned painting Peaceful Time, portraying a vivid scene from life, may remind people to cherish each ordinary day after the epidemic.

"Either walking or driving, I like to march under the street lamps. Lamps hang on the wire poles, and the wire poles connect information in modern times," Wang said, adding that the street lamps, hanging high above and emanating warm radiance, also symbolize a unique view of the world, which stands inside but high above common people.

With a white-collar employee off work, a vendor's stand and people enjoying street food, the whole painting is full of life and depicts a tranquil world. However, during the current epidemic, the scene in the painting is almost nowhere to be found.

Artist Wang Yifeng, with a unique perspective and expressive technique, has gained the attention of many collectors in recent years. Meanwhile, Wang stays true to his heart, just like his paintings.

Bai Yansong, a celebrated TV host in China, said, "I have known Wang Yifeng for over 20 years, and he continues to be curious about the world. … His paintings are simple, unadorned, amusing and have a sense of tranquility, which I think is quite rare nowadays."
