5. Tianjin Eye
Constructed on a bridge over the Haihe River, this observation wheel tops out at 35 floors, or 120 meters high.
Without a doubt, it's bigger than the London Eye and has become the new tourist hotspot in Tianjin, a close neighbor to Beijing.
So far, this is the only such wheel built across a river, and offers a clear view within a 40km radius, weather permitting.
The Tianjin Eye is electrically powered and has 48 capsules, each able to carry eight passengers, and takes 30 minutes to complete a rotation, with a maximum capacity of 768 passengers per hour.
