倾巢出动 (qīng cháo chū dòng) is a Chinese phrase with a derogatory sense which is used to describe one side at a war (normally refers to the hostile side) flinging all troops into a battle.
The phrase was used by Chinese state broadcaster CCTV to describe Beijing's armed police officers who have been arranged to carry out patrol in key areas in the capital. Netizens said it is improper to use the phrase boasting derogatory sense to describe police.
