Zhangjiakou, the co-host city of Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games, is located in the northwestern part of Hebei Province.

Zhangjiakou now boasts nine ski resorts with 177 ski runs of different levels totaling 164 kilometers in length.

Zhangjiakou is also home to 19 skating venues, meeting demand for both professional and grassroots activities.

The National Ski Jumping Center located in Zhangjiakou is named "Snow Ruyi" due to its design inspired by the traditional Chinese ornament Ruyi.

The National Biathlon Center in Zhangjiakou will hold 11 biathlon events of the 2022 Winter Olympic Games.

The National Cross-Country Center in Zhangjiakou will witness 12 gold medal events in cross-country skiing.

The Genting Snow Park in Zhangjiakou will host 20 events related to freestyle skiing and snowboarding, and eight snowboard obstacle and slope rotation events.

Situated in Zhangjiakou, Yuxian County boasts more than 1,400 years of history.

Yuxian paper-cutting was listed as the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2009.

"Dashuhua", which has a history of 500 years, has been listed as an intangible cultural heritage in Hebei Province.

The most recognized one now is in Nuanquan Town, Zhangjiakou.

Qingshaqi, or green clay utensils, have a history of more than 300 years. The making of the Qingshaqi has become a provincial intangible cultural heritage.
