The Great Wall Station is the second Antarctic research station that Xuelong 2 has visited during China's 36th Antarctic Expedition. It had earlier visited China's Zhongshan Station before stopping at the Port of Cape Town in South Africa for supplies and setting off again for Antarctica. Lying on King George Island, the Great Wall station, the first Chinese research station in Antarctica, is built in 1985. /Xinhua Photo
