The Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM) - Aquabike Promotion (ABP) Grand Prix was held in Qingdao, East China's Shandong Province from Oct 10 to Sunday, attracting more than 200 top-notch riders across the world.

The event is round three of the UIM-ABP Aquabike World Championship, which organizers say is the most acclaimed and prestigious international series promoting personal watercraft in a competitive racing environment, and one of the fastest, most spectacular, demanding and entertaining sports on water.

This year marks the championship's 25th season since being sanctioned in 1995 by the Monaco-based UIM, the world's governing body for powerboating.

The four-day competition in Qingdao was held in the city's eastern Jimo district, where marine sectors have boomed the past few years. Local government hoped the event would expand the area's fame.
