The Los Angeles Philharmonic will make its China debut at Shanghai Oriental Art Center with two concerts on March 22 and 23. The concerts will star Gustavo Dudamel, the acclaimed Venezuelan conductor who became the orchestra's music director at the age of 28.
The orchestra will interpret Gustav Mahler's "Symphony No. 6" and Antonin Dvoruk's "Slavonic Dances," "City Noir" and "From the New World" under the baton of Dudamel.
Billed one of the world's best symphony orchestras, the Los Angeles Philharmonic is a pioneer in music innovation and offers a diverse range of programs that reflect the orchestra's artistry. It presents more than 250 concerts a year at its two iconic venues -- the Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Hollywood Bowl.
