1.Beijing hosts forum on gender equality
From Monday to Tuesday, the Global Leaders' Meeting on Women was held in Beijing, capital of China, bringing together heads of state, government leaders, parliamentary leaders, deputy prime ministers, ministerial officials, leaders of the UN and international organizations, and foreign diplomatic envoys to China from over 110 countries.
During the meeting in Beijing, representatives from the United Nations, national governments and international organizations praised China's progress in advancing women's development and contributing to the global cause of gender equality.
2.China defends rare earth export controls, urges U.S. to manage differences through dialogue
China's commerce ministry on Sunday defended the country's export control measures on rare earths and related items as a legitimate action, while urging the United States to properly manage differences through dialogues and on the basis of mutual respect and equal-footed consultation.
China, as a responsible major country, employs export controls on related items according to the law, in order to better defend world peace and regional stability, and to fulfill non-proliferation and other international obligations, a spokesperson for the ministry said in response to media inquiries.
3. CPI, PPI show stabilization tendencies
China's consumer and factory-gate prices showed further signs of stabilization in September, as recovering domestic demand, industrial upgrading and policy support helped narrow price declines and strengthen underlying inflation momentum, analysts said on Wednesday.
The National Bureau of Statistics said the consumer price index, the main gauge of inflation, fell 0.3 percent year-on-year in September, following a 0.4 percent drop in August.
4.Major Myanmar fraud cases enter prosecution
The online fraud cases involving two family-based criminal groups operating in northern Myanmar and targeting Chinese nationals have entered the prosecution stage, with funds involved exceeding 24.6 billion yuan ($3.45 billion), the Ministry of Public Security said on Wednesday.
The progress in the cases against the Wei and Liu families marks a major blow to the so-called "Four Families" criminal groups in Kokang, northern Myanmar.

China has welcomed the arrival of Roh Jae-heon in Beijing as the new ambassador of the Republic of Korea, expressing the hope that he will play an active role in promoting the healthy and stable development of China-ROK relations.

6.Canton Fair opens 138th edition with over 1 million products
The China Import and Export Fair, popularly known as the Canton Fair, kicked off its 138th edition on Wednesday in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, displaying more than 1 million products developed within the past year.
Widely seen as a barometer of China's foreign trade, the fair helps facilitate the development of trade towards innovation, intelligence, and sustainability, as the number of high-quality enterprises participating has exceeded 10,000, according to the fair's organizers.
7.7th China Helicopter Exposition kicks off in Tianjin
The seventh China Helicopter Exposition opened on Thursday in north China's Tianjin Municipality. The four-day event showcases 52 aircraft models, including helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.
8.China discovers major gold deposits in Gansu Province
Chinese authorities have confirmed the discovery of a significant gold mineralized zone in Yumen City, Gansu Province, containing more than 40 metric tons of gold resources, which is enough to support two large-scale mines.
The deposit, located in the Beishan region, spans roughly 14 kilometers in length and varies in width from 10 to 100 meters, according to the Gansu Provincial Department of Natural Resources.
