Beijing (CNS) – A Chinese tourist group and a business tour were both involved in serious traffic accidents in North Korea on November 26, which left 7 Chinese and 3 North Koreans dead.

The accidents happened as rain and sleet fell on frozen ground 60 kilometers away from North Korea's capital, Pyongyang. The business tour bus slid off a bridge and the bus carrying the tourist group rolled over.

Chinese ambassador to North Korea Liu Hongcai has arranged for the seven injured to have a 24-hour guard in Pyongyang Friendship Hospital. With the exception of 3 seriously injured and 7 slightly wounded patients, most passengers were able to return to their hotels after a physical examination.

A variety of North Korea's administrations joined the rescue effort and expressed their determination to deal properly and professionally with such accidents.
