Shuwaikh Port, Kuwait (CNS) -- Two vessels of the ninth Chinese escort fleet to the Gulf of Aden and Somalian waters, "Wuhan" and "Yulin" arrived in the Kuwaiti Shuwaikh Port for a five-day visit on the morning of November 27, local time. This military visit is the first of its kind between China and Kuwait.

Representatives of both countries' militaries, and from the Chinese Embassy to Kuwait, joined Chinese living and working in Kuwait for a solemn welcoming ceremony.

The Chinese military invited Kuwaiti officers and administrators to tour the vessels and later opened them to the public.

The ninth fleet set off for its mission from Zhanjiang in south China's Guangdong Province, and accomplished 41 tasks escorting 280 Chinese and foreign vessels during its shift in the high-tension area.
