Xiamen (CNS) - The biggest liner company in the world - Royal Caribbean International – has announced it will enter the Xiamen market on November 24. The company's ship Legend of the Seas will return to China early in 2012 and set off from Xiamen home port between March and April to call in at the ports of Okinawa and Kagoshima in Japan, Jeju in South Korea, and Hong Kong.

Legend of the Seas is the international liner capable of loading 2074 passengers. A variety of routes have been opened for Legend of the Seas, and it has set sail from the Chinese cities of Shanghai, Tianjin and Hong Kong since 2008.

Xiamen, the China's fourth international liner home port, will welcome Legend of the Seas next year.

The ideal geographic location of the city indicates growth of a liner market could be expected, said Liu Zinan, general manager of the Asia-Pacific region, adding that Legend of the Seas comes with its own rich experience in global operation management, which will help Xiamen to build its international liner home port.
