Chongqing (CNS) -- Turkish Ambassador to China H.E. Mr. Murat Salim Esenli donated 200 ml blood of the very rare RH negative AB type, known as the "panda blood" in China, to the Chongqing blood bank on November 10.

He learned about a shortage of blood in Chonqing from the news media, and decided to donate blood during his visit to Chongqing for the 2011 China Chongqing International Food Expo.

Ambassador Esenli said he made three blood donations in Turkey and this is his first one in China, and he would love to do it again if needed.

He also expressed his gratefulness to China's help for Turkey with earthquake relief.
