Shanghai (CNS) -- Some stops and schedules of some high speed trains commuting between Shanghai and Nanjing have been changed, effective from November 5, according to Shanghai's railway authority.

For example, the train G7042, from the Shanghai Railway Station to Nanjing Railway Station, will not stop at Baohuashan but will stop at Zhenjiang; G7122, from the Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station to Nanjing Railway Station, will not stop at Danyang but will stop at Baohuashan.

Since the high speed railway is now operated as buses, which features short stops and has kept trains running at a high frequency, the change didn't affect most travelers on the first day and afterwards, said a shift leader at the Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station.

The three high speed railways passing Shanghai, Shanghai-Nanjing, Beijing-Shanghai and Shanghai-Hangzhou, are serving as vital means of transportation for passengers going to work, visiting friends and relatives as well as traveling on holidays.
