Apple says it will put out new software update for the new iPhone X, which has reportedly been malfunctioning in low temperatures.

"The temperature outside is two or three degrees celcius. This is when the system crashed. The screen wouldn't respond no matter what I did. But when I got inside, it was ok," said Mr. Wang, who purchased the new iPhone model last week.

The report in the Beijing Morning Post claims there have been numerous complaints about the latest iPhone model.

"An official announcement has been issued by Apple. The new software update will solve this dysfunctional screen problem," the Beijing Morning Post is quoting a staffer at the Apple store in Xidan, Beijing.

In addition to issues with temperature malfunctions, earlier media report said iPhone users have been complaining about a green light appearing on the screen of the new iPhone X.

Apple has yet to address this issue.
