The Chinese government and industry should do more to push the development of 3D printing in hospitals, one of the most popular 3D printing sectors, doctors, vendors and government officials said at a forum yesterday.
More efforts and funds should be allocated to develop 3D printing in the medical sector to overcome challenges such as the lack of industry standards and inadequate attention on software and services, industry insiders said.
The consumption, automotive and medical sectors are the top-three sectors to use 3D, said Xu Ziying, vice director of the Shanghai Commission of Economy and Information Technology.
