Media outlets are suggesting that Samsung Galaxy Note 7 handsets are still being sold in the Chinese mainland, after it announced the decision to recall all 190,984 Note 7 phones here pull it from sale starting Oct. 11.
According to a report from the China Central Television, the Note 7 smartphones were found at a Beijing-based vendor being sold at a discounted price of 5,400 yuan.
When asked, the seller said they had not received any notice on the recall. No details were given whether the vendor is a licensed Samsung vendor.
A Samsung after-sales clerk also told CCTV that consumers seeking a refund or replacement have to wait until the company announces specific measures on the recall.
