China's tech giant Huawei has announced a partnership with KMD, Myanmar's foremost IT distribution company.
KMD will serve as a new distributor for Huawei's products and solutions.
The Chinese company says the agreement is meant to affirm Huawei's strategic commitment to Myanmar as a key market.
Myanmar has a rapidly growing market, and is an emerging market for Huawei in Southeast Asia.
The country has a mobile phone penetration rate of nearly 90 percent.
