Shanghai Putao Technology Ltd, which launched a new education robot computer for kids yesterday, aims to lead the lucrative children's gadget and service market in China, the startup said yesterday.
China's high-tech product market for kids aged between 3 and 12 is expected to hit "several trillion yuan" annually, covering smart devices, programs, stores and theme parks, according to Zhu Weisong, Putao's founder and chief executive.
The new Paibot features learning assistant, parental control and facial recognition; it can accompany and "talk" with children. Students are able to study various contents. The cost of the new device starts from 2,999 yuan ($450).
