The China-Czech Republic ties, dubbed by some Chinese netizens as "Panda-Krtek (Mole) friendship," have been developing on a fast track in recent years.

For many years, China has been the Czech Republic's largest trade partner outside the European Union while the Czech Republic has been the second biggest trade partner of China in the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region.

With strong economic complementarity and the comprehensive development of bilateral ties, it is the right time for the two countries to enhance cooperation in such fields as trade and economy, industry and culture, Xi said when meeting with the leader of the Czech Chamber of Deputies Tuesday.
