Didi Kuaidi is now selling cars through its platform, as the ride-hailing app seeks to diversify its business.
The Beijing-based company has begun to sell 200 new vehicles by Mercedes-Benz and Tianjin FAW Toyota.
Consumers can pay 40-thousand yuan less to buy the two brands' automobiles on Didi Kuaidi, whose market prices are about 300-thousand yuan.
Buyers can book appointments and pay a deposit on the car-hailing platform before picking up the cars at designated 4S stores.
The sales event is currently targeting consumers in six cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Chengdu.
