China is working to fix potential safety issues brought by the rapid growing drone industry.

The booming industry has caused concern among the public in recent years.

Proper regulations and laws are urgently needed to govern the sector.

Executive secretary of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association of China, Ke Yubao, says the country is working on a cloud system for drone management.

"Once you register in the system, as long as you use the drones, we will do a real-time recording of the drones' information such as the owner, drone model, speed and height. It is like we install a black box on your drones, but we don't need to uninstall it to read the information."

Meanwhile, business insiders say hacking is another threat to public safety.

Hackers can control drones and steal information because of drones' design defects.

Currently, the country has 800-thousand drones, with its market size expected to exceed 100 billion yuan in the next decade.
