German chemical group BASF yesterday inaugurated a 90-million-euro ($96.8 million) second phase of its innovation campus in Shanghai to add new areas such as formulations, chemical processes and engineering.
The innovation campus, set up three years ago in the Pudong New Area, is the largest innovation site for BASF in Asia, with the first phase focusing on advanced materials and systems.
"The new facilities will enable BASF to better serve growth industries such as automotive, construction, health and nutrition, and home and personal care in the region," said Sanjeev Ganhdi, member of BASF's board of executive directors.
