Burger King says it will no longer buy products from American OSI Group suppliers in China.

BK becomes the latest fast-food chain to distance itself from OSI amid the stale meat scandal.

Burger King says its outlets in China may experience some temporary menu item shortages as a result.

Yum Brands, the parent company of KFC and Pizza Hut, as well as McDonald's, have also ended their relationship with OSI China in the wake of the scandal.

OSI's Shanghai Husi Processing plant has been accused of repackaging stale meat with fresh meat, and then selling it to fast-food outlets.
