A high-tech shopping mall is set to open alongside the Shanghai Pudong Software Park later this year, its operator said yesterday.
As well as the usual mix of retailers and restaurants, the new Huizhi Life Center will feature a 4D cinema and an array of stores selling the latest high-tech gadgetry.
The new mall in Pudong's Zhangjiang area will be an enhancement to the existing facilities, its operator said.
"We have developed new services and new businesses to upgrade the park," said Zhang Sulong, its general manager.
The park is classified as a national software industry base, whose output last year surpassed 55 billion yuan (US$8.9 billion).
Its residents are engaged in a range of tech sectors, such as 3D printing, wearable computing and Internet finance.
