China's leading smartphone manufacturer, Xiaomi, announced that it sold 11-million handsets in the first quarter of this year, compared to 18.7 million units sold throughout all of 2013.
The company aims to sell at least 60-million phones this year in China and is planning to launch its products in Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia and Europe later this year.
The company, established in April 2010, has earned a high reputation in China for its products, which boast edge-cutting technologies.
