Stephon Marbury may have parted ways with the Beijing Ducks, but the former NBC and CBA star is not quite done with China yet.

This time, he is trying to leave his mark on the Chinese film market with his biographical film "My Other Home," or as it is called in Chinese, "I am Marbury."

Marbury plays himself in the film, which will be released in Chinese theaters on August 4th. The plot follows his footsteps as he leaves the NBA and finds a new home in China.

The tone of the film is set to be inspirational. An official trailer of the film shows scenes from Marbury's first year in China, as some of the people he came across held doubts about the former NBA athlete.

However, those doubts eventually faded as the Brooklyn-native led the Beijing Ducks to the first of three championship seasons.

This is not the first time that Marbury had dabbled in the Chinese entertainment industry. In 2014, Marbury also starred in a stage play based on his life in Beijing, which was also called "I Am Marbury."

The 40-year-old has reportedly signed four more movie deals in China, so Chinese fans will get to keep their basketball star for a little longer, at least at the movies.

Marbury started his NBA career with the Minnesota Timberwolves in 1996 before ending it with the Boston Celtics in 2009. He was an NBA All-Star twice in 2001 and 2003.

He found his way to the CBA in 2010 with the Shanxi Zhongyu Brave Dragons. He began playing for the Beijing Ducks in 2011.

Both the Ducks and Marbury announced that they would part ways earlier this spring.
