After suffering smog with heavy pollution for two days, Shanghai finally embraces cleaner air thanks to strong wind, which blew away the pollutants.
The major pollutant PM2.5 dropped quickly from around 200 micrograms per cubic meter, eight times the recommended standard by the World Health Organization, since early this morning to 52.9 micrograms per cubic meter about 10am.
The Air Quality Index, AQI, read as "good" this morning, the second best in a six-level evaluation system.
