The number of young people in Shanghai who have been unemployed for more than a year has fallen by 27 percent since 2012, the city government said yesterday.

The dip can be attributed to a program titled "Setting Sail," which provides career advice, vocational training and specialist job fairs for people under 35. The total number of young people unemployed has fallen by 18 percent over the past three years to 77,000, it said.
