The Shanghai Public Transportation Card Co. said on Monday that public transport commuters will be able to pay for bus and metro services with smart bracelets.
Besides paying transport fares, the wearable device will also display time, and track fitness and sleep as well. The company said that it was cooperating with several wearable device companies to integrate the public transport payment into their products.
