More leading traditional Chinese medicine experts are now working in private clinics following health reform that allows doctors to work in more than one medical facility, experts said on a TCM development forum in Shanghai on Wednesday.
Previously, doctors are only allowed to work in one hospital, seriously restricting medical resources and forcing patients to go all the way to big hospitals and wait in long queues.
"Because of the health reform, more and more TCM experts now start to work in private clinics, which give patients a convenience to see these experts," said Pan Xuecai, chairman of Junhetang Traditional Chinese Medicine Group, which has nearly 100 TCM experts in its outlets in Nanjing of Jiangsu Province and Shanghai.
