Expatriates in Shanghai can get in tune with traditional Chinese music — for free — on weekends next month.

The music camp, which starts from November 1, will include lectures, tours, concerts and actual learning of the instruments.

On November 1, there will be a lecture on appreciating Chinese music covering esthetics and art forms at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. It will be followed by a tour of the Oriental Musical Instrument Museum, which has more than 500 collections, and get a brief idea of the history and development of traditional Chinese instruments.
