A Chinese economic fugitive, who once hided in Africa, has been repatriated to Guangdong Province in south China.
Wu Quanshen was spotted in Macao in May this year and arrested on Thursday as part of cooperation between mainland and Macao police authorities.
Wu, a former village official from Guangdong, was on the list of China's 100 most wanted economic fugitives.
Wu was suspected of receiving huge amount of money related to a village construction project. In March, 2013, he fled to Guinea-Bissau, a country in West Africa.
The most wanted list of economic fugitives was issued by Interpol's National Central Bureau of China in April, 2015. Many suspects on the list are believed to have fled to America, Canada, or Australia to escape punishment.
