Human error was behind the accident involving a China-built MA60 passenger aircraft that veered off the runway and injured seven passengers yesterday in Fujian Province, the Civil Aviation Administration of China said today.

There was no evidence to show a mechanical failure on the plane belonging to Joyair, the investigation team said after analyzing the aircraft's flight data.

"Our preliminary investigation showed the accident was caused by human error," the administration said.
