Chinese tourists visiting Japan as part of a cruise will from next month be able to do so without a visa, a travel agent said yesterday.
The new policy will save people time and money, said Yang Lei, who handles cruise bookings for online tour company Ctrip.
Under current rules, Chinese people have to pay about 200 yuan (US$32) for a tourist visa to Japan, and the process of applying for one can take several days, Yang said.
