18 different items are going to be on display at an exhibition to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Palace Museum.

The exhibition will begin on September 22nd.

Five new visiting areas are to be opened this year, increasing access to the former Imperial Palace to 65% from 52%.

There are going to be a number of highlights for visitors.

The so-called "Gold Triangle," a room covering an area of 2,800 square meters, is reputed to be the most unique exhibition hall in the world.

A portrait named "Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival" will be back on display, as will 70 pieces of Ru kiln porcelain.

The so-called Zhenbao House will be opened to visitors, too.

Visitors will also be able to walk along part of the wall surrounding the Palace itself.
