Hangzhou bus arson suspect stands trial

Hangzhou bus arson suspect Bao Laixu stood on a public trial in Hangzhou Intermediate People's Court at 9am on Wednesday morning.

Bao, 34, is accused of deliberately setting a bus on fire in east China's Hangzhou in last July.

20 bus passengers were severely injured in the bus attack, including Bao himself.

Bao lay down in the court due to amputation of his ankles and more than 95 pct burns of his body surface.
