The two hotlines set up for victim families' inquiries have received 224 calls by 10pm last night, nearly 24 hours after the deadly stampede happened on the city's landmark Bund area.
A total of 96 people who have families or relatives victimized in the tragedy have been treated yesterday to deal with body recognition, funeral services and other aftermath issues, the city government information office said today.
The city government has opened two hotlines — 3376 1004 and 3376 6757 — for families of the injured and deceased and people who still don't know what had happened to their relatives.
