Chinese president returns from Oceania visit

Chinese President Xi Jinping returned to Beijing on Sunday evening from his three-nation Oceanian tour of Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.[Special coverage]

During the trip, Xi attended the 9th G20 Summit in Brisbane, Australia, from Nov. 15 to 16 and paid state visits to the three Oceania countries from Nov. 16 to 23. Xi also met the leaders of some Pacific island countries.

Xi's entourage included his wife Peng Liyuan; Wang Huning, a member of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee' Political Bureau and CPC Central Committee Policy Research Office director; Li Zhanshu, a hank ranking official who holds the multiple posts of member of the CPC Central Committee's Political Bureau and member of the CPC Central Committee's Secretariat as well as director of the CPC Central Committee's General Office; and State Councilor Yang Jiechi.
